Promotion de l’éducation, de la santé et de l’employabilité des jeunes du département de Fatick
ONG Jeunesse et Développement (JED) is launching a 3-year initiative starting January 2025 to support youth in the Fatick department of Senegal, specifically in the communes of Fimela, Diofior, Palmarin, Djilass, and Loul Sessène.
The project targets vulnerable young people aged 15–25, including school dropouts and unemployed youth (NEET), aiming to improve access to quality socio-educational and health services while fostering their professional integration.
Key Objectives:
Strengthen access to reproductive health, education, and protection services.
Support youth employment and skills development.
Engage schools, communities, and local authorities in sustainable support systems.
Expected Impact:
Over 150 school dropouts and 100 NEET youth re-engaged in education or employment pathways.
4,000 schoolchildren across 5 communes benefit from improved educational conditions.
Mobilization of local councils and communities to ensure long-term access to socio-educational services.
Sustainability Approach: The project emphasizes building local capacity among youth, community leaders, and public officials to ensure the continuity of services beyond the project’s timeline.
